I love local politics. I’ve run for public office twice and served on the Somerville Human Rights Commission. Both taught me how much of a city’s work happens before a vote: in committees, in conversations with neighbors, in the working relationships between the people who serve.
“I built MunicipalGraph after two runs for public office taught me that local power is real, and almost no one can read it.”
Every city hall has its own way of getting things done. It lives in the experience of the people who’ve done it, and it takes years to learn. Most people walk in without it.
I built MunicipalGraph so anyone with something at stake can walk in prepared: who decides, how they’ve decided before, and who else cares about the outcome, all drawn from the public record.
